Tida Yui no Hama is a beach in Urasoe, in the southern part of Okinawa’s main island.
Shallow water stretching well out from shore and a small strip of sand are what define it.
Beach is perhaps the wrong word: this is not a place for swimming, and there is almost never anyone here.

The Highlights

The shallows stretch out in front of you and it is a lovely sight.
There are plenty of small fish and other creatures, and we saw a handful of people who had walked well out towards the open water.

Small stones and shells are mixed in with it, so we recommend wearing sandals or shoes.

Tida Yui no Hama has no swimming facilities and no restrooms.

It houses clothing brands such as UNIQLO and ZARA, along with a cinema, amusement facilities and much more.
Okinawa Prince Hotel Ocean View Ginowan
Every room at the Okinawa Prince Hotel Ocean View Ginowan has a terrace and an ocean view.
There is a pool and a large public bath, and the view from the infinity pool on the 14th floor is superb — a genuinely luxurious resort stay.
Tropical Beach is about a ten-minute walk from the hotel, making it a great choice if you want that resort feeling.
A rental car is the way to go in Okinawa
A rental car is by far the best way to get around the main island of Okinawa.
The places worth seeing are scattered across the island, from Shuri Castle in Naha to the beautiful beaches of the north and American Village in Chatan, and with a car you can take them at your own pace. Buses are infrequent and do not always run on time, so having a car or not makes a real difference to the trip.
Cars fill up quickly in the peak season, so we recommend booking early once your travel dates are set. One important note for overseas visitors: to drive in Japan you must obtain an International Driving Permit (Geneva Convention) in your home country before you depart, and remember that traffic in Japan drives on the left.
