Mibaru Beach
Mibaru Beach is a beach in Nanjo City, in the southern part of Okinawa’s main island.
It is a natural beach known for its very clear water and, together with Hyakuna Beach, a two-kilometre stretch of sand.
In summer a safety net is put up and lifeguards are on duty, making it a beach that adults and children alike can enjoy.

Ishiki Beach
Ishiki Beach is a beach on Kudaka Island, an outlying island of Nanjo City.
Its appeal lies in clear water and completely unspoilt nature.
Kudaka Island is called the island of the gods, and it has been treasured as sacred ground since the days of the Ryukyu Kingdom.
Reaching Kudaka Island means taking the ferry from Azama Port on the main island, but it is beautiful enough to be well worth the trip.

Hyakuna Beach
Hyakuna Beach is a beach in Nanjo City, in the southern part of Okinawa’s main island.
It is a natural beach known for its very clear water and, together with Mibaru Beach, a two-kilometre stretch of sand.
Hyakuna Beach has no safety net and no lifeguards, which gives it something of the feel of a private beach.
It is also famous as a power spot, and it is a place of Ryukyu Kingdom myth.
Tradition holds that this is the sacred spot where the goddess Amamikiyo first set foot on land after crossing from beyond the sea.

Tin-no-hama
Tin-no-hama is a beach in Nanjo City, in the south of Okinawa Prefecture.
Tin-no-hama is known for its clear water and clean, attractive sand.
Right next door is Baten Children’s Park, complete with whale-shaped play equipment and restrooms modelled on seashells.
Rather than a place for a proper swim, this is a beach best suited to paddling in the shallows or simply relaxing on the sand.

Chinaazaki Coast

Shikiya Beach
Shikiya Beach is known for its clean white sand, blue water and facilities that let you camp on site.

Ou Island Beach
Ou Island Beach is a beach in Nanjo City, in the southern part of Okinawa’s main island.
It lies on the small island of Ou, but a bridge links it to the mainland, so you can drive straight there.
You can camp and barbecue at this beach, and in summer you will find people holding beach parties too.
There is no safety net and no lifeguard on duty, so please take real care if you go into the water!
