This beach has no swimming facilities at all.
There is no jellyfish net and no lifeguard either, so please take care of your own safety in the water.
Highlights
Ikei Ohashi Bridge seen from Itsukuma-no-hama
A breakwater runs right alongside Itsukuma-no-hama, and from there you can look across to Ikei Ohashi Bridge.
The view down from the bridge is lovely, but so is the view of the bridge from the Ikei Island side.
A few people were fishing off the breakwater.
Clear water
The water is beautifully clear, making this a lovely little beach.
Natural sand
The sand is lovely, but there are shells and bits of coral about, so sandals are a good idea.
Some people were relaxing on the sand, and others were swimming.
Usumee Haamee
There is a rock here known as Usumee Haamee.
In the Okinawan dialect, usumee means an older man and haamee an older woman.
