The count also includes beaches on outlying islands connected to the main island by bridge, and on islands about 15 minutes away by boat.
To get straight to the point, there are about 140 beaches on Okinawa’s main island.
There are also many unnamed beaches and spots only locals know, so there are more than you might expect.
Let’s go from Kunigami Village in the north of the main island all the way to Itoman City in the south!
*Some places, such as unnamed beaches, are hard to survey, so we describe this list as “almost” all of them
