Zane Beach (Beach51) is defined by fine white sand and blue water, and it is a genuinely lovely beach.

Cape Maeda, famous for its Blue Cave, is close by, and people come to Zane Beach for all sorts of reasons: to snorkel, to take photographs, or simply to sit on the sand.

It is a small beach and not especially well known.

These are the two spots Zane Beach is known for.

  • The view from the cliff
  • The rock window

If you go to Zane Beach, both are worth seeing.

Inbu Beach is defined by clear water and about a kilometer of beautiful sand, and it is a genuinely lovely beach.

Because the sand runs so far, the beach divides into a stretch run by Halekulani Okinawa, which works almost as a private beach, and a stretch nobody manages at all.

Guests of Halekulani Okinawa can use the pool and the other facilities as well, so it suits anyone after a proper resort stay.

Apogama Beach is a favorite spot for diving and snorkeling.

Cape Manzamo, Manza Beach, and a run of other Okinawan resort spots are all close by.

What defines Apogama Beach above all is the natural cave known as Apogama.
In the Okinawan dialect, “gama” means cave.

The land around Apogama Beach once belonged to the US military, so almost nothing has been built here, and the nature is as good as untouched.

*The land has since been returned.

It is also well known for diving and snorkeling, and there were several people in the water when I visited.

If you plan to dive or snorkel at Apogama, you will need to bring your own gear.

Take real care when you go into the water.

Nakadomari Beach is worth the trip for its 600 meters of sand and clear water.

Onna no Eki and Cape Maeda are both close by.

Nakadomari Beach is not a place tourists come to, so it is mostly locals walking along the sand and the shore.

There is almost nothing here in the way of facilities, and the beach is left as nature made it.
