Hamahiga Island is a remote island in Uruma City, central Okinawa Prefecture.

Hamahiga Island is a very small island with a circumference of 6.69 km and a population of 531 according to wikipedia information. (As of 2021/11/3)

It is also famous as some “God’s Island” in Okinawa, and there is a legend that “AmamiKiyo (Amamichu)” and “Shinerikiyo (Shirumichu)” who have the legend of the god who created Ryukyu lived on Hamahiga Island.
